This application was designed and developed as part of my graduation project following  the discovery of the city of Montbéliard and its surroundings from an interactive digital service.

The main goal of this project is to offer a sound interactivity to the user by strolling on the different places to visit in the city of Montbéliard. With a playful dimension, this application is open to tourists and locals. The goal would be for the user to live this experience as a quest with missions to accomplish , an alternative to a simple audio guide.

This project emerged from a desire to discover the diversity of the emblematic places of the Pays de Montbéliard in another form; by adding an exclusive sound dimension and personalisation depending on where you are. We chose the mobile application format for its mobility and ease of use for a young audience.

Main screens of

the app

The application presents three main screens: the list of places, the places page (containing the sound and information of the place) and a GPS map. The latter has the function of guiding the user to each location.

A journey through time

Each place is a unique experience to discover. The user can know the history of the places offered on our screens in addition to the sounds to listen to, creating an exceptional journey through time.

A course adapted to its location

With the functionality of maps for iOS integrated into the application, it offers a personalized route according to the location of the user. It will give directions to get to the nearest place to visit in order to avoid long journeys between two points.

Designed for iOS

The application was developed using the Swift programming language with Xcode. This made it possible to make the interface design following Apple's design principles

UX approach

User experience has a variety of targeted users. The use of personas, user flows and use cases has created consistency between the different parts produced.

A sample is presented below of the user experience approach.

Use case

Branding and visual identity

The logo of the application is composed by sound waves which are transformed with the shape of the letter “M” in reference to the city of Montbéliard. In this way, this logo is in line with the identity of our sound path app.
